Will Best Buy be the first retailer to get its proverbial hands on the Palm Pre?  WebOS Arena says so.  The folks over there have it from a “credible source” that Best Buy will have exclusive sales rights to the Pre for 60 days.  Aside from Sprint of course.

It’s not a far-fetched rumor by any means.  Sprint also launched the Samsung Instinct with Best Buy last summer, a plan that generated decent sales numbers considering the Instinct launched in the same time frame as Apple’s second-generation iPhone.  Speaking of the iPhone, Best Buy was also the first retailer to snag the rights to that phone.  Walmart also sells it now.

Of all the rumors I’ve heard so far regarding the Palm Pre, this one is the most likely to materialize.
